HWPI
Adds Boone Location in Western North Carolina

Western North Carolina is an area
that continues to grow; increasing in popularity as a
destination for both business and tourism. The area is also no
stranger to some of the extreme weather conditions that can
affect the region throughout the year.
Violent winds have accompanied snow
and ice during winter storms. Significant flash flood events
have affected the region; especially those triggered by the
remnants of tropical weather systems. Every day weather
occurrences like thunderstorms, lightning, occasional tornadoes
and hail can cause serious consequences for those affected.
As a result of the popularity of the
area, the increased threat due to increasing populations and
HWPI's past relationship with Appalachian State University we
are proud to announce the opening of our Boone, North Carolina
location.
HWPI will be working with a variety
of interests in western North Carolina over the months to come
with a focus on preparing for extreme weather events.
