Keeping Safe From The Lightning Hazard
This is one of our most popular programs and
can be taught in several different program lengths. The
short program is perfect for a lunch and learn setting;
it is rich in multi media graphics and handouts are provided for
attendees. This program can be conducted in 30 minute, 45 minute or 60
minute formats.
The longer versions of this program is
designed for the safety professional. The 90 minute, two
hour or three hour version covers material necessary to increase
the safety factor for employees, employee families, customers
and facility resources. More detailed information is provided as
well as additional handout material.
Another module of the lightning program has
been specifically designed for sports and recreation.
This is a must program for coaches, officials, park
district officials, school administrators and those charged with
keeping participants, staff and spectators safe. This class has
been taught at levels ranging from college and universities,
collegiate officials, high schools and park districts.
Lightning is regarded as one of the most significant risks
facing athletic activity.

These sessions are conducted by Randy
Jackson, a former TV meteorologist and "Certified Lightning
Safety Professional" by the National Lightning Safety
Institute. Jackson has taught a 3-hour version of
the lightning safety class as part of the continuing education
program for the North Carolina Department of Insurance in 2006.
