and consulting services as well as hazardous weather education.
Facility
Survey: Our emergency management staff will do a walk through of your
facility and make the following recommendations:
- Shelter Locations
- Hazard or avoidance locations
- Communication challenges
- Points specific to your business that are
critical to your hazard plan
Plan
Development or Review: We will provide a full range of services for
those companies designing a hazard plan. We will also review and recommend
improvements to those plans already in place. A few of the topics in our focus
will be:
- Facility pluses and minuses
- Special needs planning
- Receiving and disseminating crucial
information
- Employee buy-in and training
Plan
Testing: A plan may be very effective on paper but not effective in
practice. We believe all plans should be tested, evaluated and modified where
necessary. Our staff will assist you in:
- Operational Testing
- Evaluation of plan effectiveness and timing
- Follow-up discussion with your safety or HR
team
- Recommend modifications based on evaluation

Outings and Travel: HWPI works with numerous organizations in
providing weather forecast, preparedness information, and hazard analysis for
